Robert "Bo Bo" Alan Cole
May 16, 1969 - November 27, 2017

Robert “Bo Bo” Alan Cole, Sr., age 48 of Pascagoula passed away on November 27, 2017 in Ocean Springs Hospital. He was born May 16, 1969 in Pascagoula and has been a life time resident. He graduated in 1987 from Pascagoula High School and attended MGCCC. Bo was employed with Jackson County Recreation Department for 12 years and currently with City of Pascagoula Recreation Department as the Athletic Director and Harbor Master for 16 years. Bo was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula, MS. He served as District Director of Dixie Boys Baseball and former President and Board member of Dixie Boys Baseball Pascagoula. He was a member of Panther Pride and Quarterback Club. Bo was a dedicated and committed youth sports and recreation employee and community volunteer. Bo was a diehard Panther fan that bled red and blue. He had a great affinity for the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. We mourn his passing and celebrate the impact he made on our great City of Pascagoula.

Bo is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Achee Northrop; grandparents, Joe Cole, Sr. and Lorena N. Cole; and two uncles, John Douglas Northrop and Dan Farrell Northrop, Sr.

Bo is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shannon Rushing Cole, two sons, Robert “Hunter” Cole, Jr. and Mark Ryan Cole; parents M.R. Cole, Sr. and Ellen Northrop Cole, all of Pascagoula; brother and sister in law M. Ray “Hoppy” Cole, Jr. and Cindy Cole of Hattiesburg; mother in law Carol Emanuel of Dauphin Island, AL and father in law H. Lamar Rushing of Pascagoula; brother in law Clint (Rachel) Rushing, two sisters in law, Debbie Covington of Pascagoula and Becky (Richard) Gautier and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Visitation for Bo will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00AM with Father Michael Kelleher and Father Patrick O’Shaussey officiating with interment to follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
